The Council is composed of a group of interested individuals throughout the island, a majority of who are individuals with disabilities, whose collective purpose, in partnership with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)

Background

Guam’s State Rehabilitation Council has been created pursuant to Section 101 (a) (35) and Section 105 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended by the Rehabilitation Act Amendment of 1998. Members of the Council are appointed to serve for a term of not more than three years, and no more than two consecutive full terms.

Regular meeting of the members shall be held a minimum of four times per year, including at least once during every calendar quarter of the calendar year. Such meetings shall be publicly announced and shall be open to the public. Each meeting shall be held in an accessible facility.
